There are ten locations of Jacques Torres in the city, a chocolate store founded in New York in 2000. You'll most likely find me at the Hudson Street store, a space that's quite large with mix-matched seating and a bit of non-intentional industrial look. I kind of feel like Ross would have bought Rachel chocolates here back in the Friends era. Besides the 90s nostalgia, I went there five days a week (sometimes six if I had to work on a weekend, Wolff Olins is just down the street) for three months straight specifically for the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookie. I've tried the Mudslide Cookie (they gave me a free one because I go there so often), the ice creams, the hot chocolate (also free, again because of the frequency of my visits) but I always return to the Peanut Butter Cookie.
The also sell an array of individuals chocolates, large bars, bags, shapes and chocolate covered treats like Cheerios and nuts. Great for gifts or for picking up a cookie to go.
